New Shop!

I opened an Etsy shop for my dolls, and small art. Wish me luck!
Now I have this little nest for all my tiny little clay babies and fairies.
Well, since I like to make all kinds of dolls, every once in a while there wil be a not so tiny doll, but that is just part of the fun, right?

Please visit and let me know what you think.

I will be listing often, so if you like dolls, keep an eye over here! ;o)

How not to take photos

This is a re-post from my main art blog, but fits better in a doll blog :o)

This is  Timmy. He is a tiny 5 inch polymer baby, and he went visiting places playing the touring baby blog with a mouse, a piggy, a frog, and another baby.
This is a WIP picture before curing the clay:

Taking pictures of your dolls is a whole different art. It requires creativity, and some camera knowledge. I don't  claim to be an expert at all, but I know what not to do ;o)
As I was taking pictures of this polymer baby, I came across all the problems in the book: bad  lighting, shadows, bad angles, weird background... and also an unwanted visitor (aka my cat Panzón) and decided after several "photo bombs" that I needed to post them in the blog. Here you go:

Baby looking in the wrong direction.

Weird lighting and shadows. Needs cropping.

Light is too sharp . Goofy cat in background.

Total fiasco. Bad shadows, blurry. Photo bomb cat.

I cropped the best picture of the sesion, and this is the result:

Much better, and ready for his 5 States tour. Ta ta for now!

In a nice autumn day...

Sue's baby came to visit me right before Halloween.

She had a nice sleight for her winter travels, but here in California we don't have snow, not even in the snowy spots. I asked her what she wanted to do for Halloween and she said "fairy!" so I gave her long flowing fairy hair, and made her a cute tiny hat and fairy dress.

I was going to give her  wings as well, but she didn't want to put them on, because her brand new hair would get messed up.

She ate all the candy already, and all she has to do for now is climb on her sleight and go to her next stop at Sherry's place in Washington.

Bye sweet little fairy! It was wonderful to have you here visiting! (My cat Panzón will miss you too)

Here's Octavio

This little boy is Octavio... or, well, these are the parts I am sending to make Octavio into a finished doll, as he travels to Idaho, Washington and California. Sherry will paint him and put him together

Reorganizing and listing goodies!

If you follow my other blog, you know that I'm listing all kinds of goodies after going through my artsy craftsie stuff. But in case you didn't know, well here I go! (✿◠‿◠)

Check HERE for my auctions, starting at 99 cents. I'm listing soft baby fabric, Angelina film, premature diapers, polymer clay... feathers and glitter and yarn, oh my! (sorry, I couldn't help it...)
I wish I could list it on Etsy, but unless I have it in supplies? I don't think it would go there.

Anyway, I have been busy with that and trying to stay cool in this heat. I don't think I will make anything with polymer and the oven until the fall!

Oh! My adorable baby from the touring babies group arrived! He has so many cute things!! I have to take a picture with all his treasures to show you, we had so much fun! By now all the babies are coming home. Please visit their blog HERE and see how cute they turned out.

Waiting on my table

I have 2 dolls on my table waiting for me to work on them.
One is Miss Rat, who will now own a big bottle I made for her yesterday. I will give her a couple of more baby things and publish a post in the Touring babies blog. This was her last stop and now is on her way back to Barb!

And the other doll is from my BBQ team in the Traveling Doll Project from ADO, which keeps me thinking what to do for her. I want to give her limbs but since she has no way already to add them, I will have to drill a hole or come up with some other way to attach them. So I have been thinking and rethinking how to go about it...

She told me she wants to dance, so hopefully next time you will see her doing the cha-cha :oD

Stay cool my friends! We were 102F yesterday, will be warmer today... so enjoy some nice ice tea (unless you live in the south and are starting your autumn!)

Back in April. . .

I made her a dress, bonnet and that's the hardest part of all, not being a seamstress... But what do you all think? I picked a very cheerful orange color :o)

Here's with the other baby girl and a Teddy bear to give an idea of size.

Another picture:

I am not sure yet where I'm going to list them. I guess I can try one in each site? (Etsy and ebay)
Thanks for visiting!
