A link with beautiful doll faces

I love faces. Painting them and sculpting them.
This September I have been running a fun challenge called 29 faces, for everyone interested in perfecting their craft or practicing new things, we all in group fly together and share, cheer and enjoy hundreds and hundreds of faces.
Since I left in the back burner my sculpting, and I have this challenge going on, I have been feeling the "clay itch" again, so before I grab my tools I'd like to share this beautiful link full of doll faces in clay, in their site: (The photo is not mine)

June, July, August...

Well, this summer was extremely hot, and as i decided in january, i have spent all my time dedicated to painting this year.... but I am feeling the "make a doll bug" again, and most likely will get all my doll making goodies and go for it lol :oD

For now, I want to share an adorable tutorial for a bunny doll. Isn't is an adorable face?

It is in Russian but can be translated or simply look at the photos and follow steps HERE

San Diego dolls

Over the mother's day weekend we went to San Diego and one of the fun things we did was visiting the Mingei Museum, where besides the awesome masks and the Huyler's chocolate exhibit, they had an antique doll's exhibit!

I want to share some pictures of my favorite ones:
The following three dolls are ceramic and cloth, from Germany:

An Izannha doll, so cute! And in great shape:

Sleepy blog

Hey there! Just around the time of my last post here, my life had a major hiccup and things turned a bit terrible. The rest of the year was too stressing for me to sit and make a doll so I have been away of this little blog for months.

This new year I am planning to concentrate more on painting than dolls, so chances are I will not be posting often either, but if I come across a fun tutorial or something interesting doll related, I will link to it here.

Look on the past postings, I have a great collection of links of many doll makers and awesome doll stuff.

I have however,  some adorable tiny dolls listed in my Etsy shop (see left bar)
If you want to drop me a line go ahead, I read all the mail! :o)

Hasta la vista!
